Your challenge

As a member of our multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the complete electronic design process in various projects, mostly radar- and RF-oriented. This design process typically involves:

  • Translate project/product requirements into a first concept and assess its feasibility
  • Conduct a more detailed design study (e.g. basic calculations, component selection, simulation, etc.)
  • Schematic design
  • Layout PCB according best practices and electrical design rules
  • Create wiring and board interconnection diagrams
  • Support on mechanical integration if necessary (board integration)
  • Assist with product validation and verification
  • Write test specifications & technical documentation
  • Assist with optimization/introduction of existing/new electronic engineering processes (or tools) within the engineering department

You provide your expertise on system level together with the other team members. You report in accordance with project team objectives, requirements and schedules

Your profile

  • Master degree in electronic engineering
  • At least 5 years professional experience in electronic design or similar function
  • Experience with ECAD tools for schematic capture and board layout, preferably Altium Designer
  • Experience with EMI/EMC design principles
  • Experience with lifetime calculations (e.g. MIL-HDBK-217)
  • Strong debugging skills, familiar with measurement equipment
  • Communicative team player who shows initiative and possesses a proactive mindset
  • Creative and detail-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Hand-on approach
  • Able to conduct independent study of scientific and technical information
  • You communicate fluently in English (verbal and written)

Extra assets

  • Experience with RF design
  • Experience with VHDL
  • Experience with military standards such as MIL-STD-810 and related testing
  • Knowledge in programming languages such as C and Python
  • Knowledge of the Dutch language, notions of French and German
